Big Health Challenge 2014

"Thank you so much for inviting me today to The Big Health Challenge, I had a really great morning and it was a pleasure to see the schools present and all their hard work. There were some really great innovative ideas, to match your own ideas and drive to create and drive this programme. Please invite me to more things I would be really keen to help in any way I can." - Jon Simpson, Clinical Head of Division, Medicine and Community, CMFT

Big Health Challenge 2014

"Just a quick note on behalf of myself, our students and the school as a whole. We had a great time today at The Big Health Challenge and we were very impressed with the professionalism, friendliness and organisation of your team and the event. Holding it at the MCFC Etihad Stadium with the room being set out so well definitely gave the event some weight and the students felt like they were taking part in something important and that their efforts were being appreciated. They were disappointed not to have won overall but were delighted to get the runners-up prize. The whole way home they were asking if they can do it again next year, since they now know what it takes to win! On a wider note, please pass on thanks to every single member of the team - I have really enjoyed working with everyone and am looking forward to carrying that on next year. I've asked for help from many of them at very short notice and they've always obliged and been incredibly helpful! I am confident now that with the help and support of the Healthy Schools team we can keep improving the health and well-being of students at Burnage Academy for Boys, and I look forward to doing so." - Greg Morrison, South Learning Centre Manager, Burnage Academy for Boys

Big Health Challenge 2014

"I just wanted to offer my congratulations on The Big Health Challenge event that took place yesterday which was organised by our Healthy Schools Team at the Manchester City Stadium. I have had feedback from a variety of sources as to how successful the event was and the impact it had on the young people who attended. Well done, keep up the good work; I am sure all of this will pay dividends in making our childhood obesity programme a success." - Gill Heaton, Director of Patient Services/Chief Nurse, CMFT
