This course is designed for KS2, KS3 staff teaching the new statutory RSHE guidance which includes; keeping children safe from FGM, the laws surrounding FGM, inclusion and safe classroom practice as well as practical tips on ‘how’ to teach this topic sensitively.

Cat was a secondary teacher, PSHE subject lead, regional RSE curriculum advisor, PGCE trainer and professional mentor. Cat has a wealth of experience working with young people, their families and faith communities in the Manchester city and beyond. Cat is passionate to support schools and their communities in the development of their RSE provision and relishes being part of the journey to celebrate and share best practice. Cat is an ambassador for LGBTQ+ rights, and champions gender equality in every sector. In her spare time Cat is a keen gardener, artist, hiker and cook.
