This one-hour training course is suitable for all staff. The session will explore the importance of teaching open water safety, the dangers of cold-water shock, drowning prevention techniques and safety around open water. There will be a focus on cold weather water safety (icy and frozen waters). The session covers best practice techniques and will signpost to supportive resources.

This course is FREE of charge to Manchester schools who have completed the current Health Check. For schools outside of Manchester please contact healthy.schools@mft.nhs.uk for fees.
