Safeguarding and Sensitive Questions – Be a confident RSE practitioner!

Course description

Suitable for all Key Stages, this hour-long training session seeks to give all staff the confidence in having those ‘difficult conversations’ with young people around relationships and sex. The aim of the training is to give teachers and educators a skills-based approach to teaching RSE which enables young people to safeguard themselves and promotes engagement in the lessons.        

Key themes:

  • Statutory RSE: what is it and what does this mean for our school
  • Safeguarding yourself and your pupils
  • Am I allowed to answer that question?: Dealing with sensitive topics
  • Increasing engagement with RSE amongst pupils


Participants:

This course is open to all staff who work within a school setting.

Cost:

This is course is provided free of charge to Manchester schools that have prioritised Relationships and Sex Education as part of the health check.
