Voicebox for secondary schools is a pupil participation network which encourages Manchester pupils to research, reflect, and engage with the health of their school community.
This year, secondary Voicebox will offer students the opportunity to be mentored by one of the Healthy Schools specialists. Mentees will be supported by their mentor to research, or work to change, health challenges in their school. Students will then present their findings at an end of year conference. Voicebox is well suited to any young person keen to make a difference in their school, who wants to think critically about health and wellbeing, or who is interested in healthcare as a career, The programme is open to all year groups, and will be tailored to their needs.
Session two is designed to build upon an existing health based project at school, if the students have attended session 1. New students are welcome, and will be supported to think of a new project.
