Staying safe with Sam is a programme designed by the Child Accident Prevention Trust to teach Reception children about keeping safe around cleaning and laundry products. In 2023-24 every primary school in Manchester was sent the resources to deliver the Staying safe with Sam programme to Reception classes. This brief refresher training is aimed at Reception teachers or anyone who will be delivering the programme. It gives the context to the programme as well as advice on effective delivery. This course is FREE of charge to Manchester schools who have completed the current Health Check. For schools outside of Manchester please contact healthy.schools@mft.nhs.uk for fees.
