Tom Watson, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party and Lucy Powell, MP Manchester Central, took time out of their busy schedule to visit local school Claremont Primary. They were able to see Key Stage 1 children enjoying a physical activity session and met a selection of Year 6 pupils who were able to chat about how the school supports them with achieving a healthy lifestyle. Tom Watson, was keen to talk to the children about a campaign he is supporting 'Fizz Free February', which encourages young people to give up fizzy drinks for the month of February.Anne Conboy, the Headteacher, and the Healthy school team talked about working towards the same goals to achieve the best health outcomes for the pupils.
